clockWhat is the OPA Filing?

The BP Claims Program is separate from the Court Supervised Settlement Program (CSSP) established by the settlement reached between BP and the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee in the federal multidistrict litigation concerning the Deepwater Horizon incident, MDL 2179.

The BP Claims Program is for claimants who fall into the following two categories:

  • Individuals and business that do not fit the criteria of the BP Settlement
  • Individual and businesses that have “opted out” of the BP Settlement

To find out what type of claimant your are, click here.

Why is there a deadline?

The January 20, 2013 deadline allows 90 days for your case to be put together and processed by BP.
